Translation & Market Localisation Coordination for Alcohol Brands
Coordinate specialist translation and localisation of alcohol brand and trade content for the UK and selected international markets.
The commission
What the work covers
Coordinate qualified language and subject specialists to adapt alcohol brand, product and trade content for agreed UK and selected international audiences. Define the languages, formats, terminology and intended uses, with local rules and review responsibilities recorded before production.
Support clear communication of product provenance, drinks traditions and commercial information while respecting local language and cultural context. Agree how translators and relevant contributors will resolve culturally specific terms, place names and production descriptions, preserving source meaning and recognising learning between markets.
Manage the agreed workflow for source-text approval, translation, subject review and final handover. Record rights and permissions for adapted text and assets, identify commissioning relationships and flag claims or required notices for qualified local review before publication.
How we approach the work
- Agree languages, markets, content rights and intended uses, and coordinate qualified language and subject specialists for the brief.
- Manage translation and localisation queries, preserving meaning and arranging agreed contributor and specialist reviews.
- Record client approval, commissioning disclosures and local-review requirements before handing over the agreed language versions.
Scope and boundaries
Certified legal or tax translation and compliance certification are outside this coordination service. Translation does not extend UK advertising, product or publication permissions to another market; qualified local reviewers must confirm applicable requirements for the intended use. Content requires appropriate rights or permissions, clear commissioning and advertising identification where applicable, and excludes health and social-success claims. UK lobbying requires a separate written mandate, direct delivery in the UK and applicable registration and disclosure checks. Diplomatic representation, overseas lobbying, non-UK public-authority representation and campaigns to influence foreign public decisions are excluded. Commissioned work remains separate from our own policy positions and independent editorial decisions.

Scope and independence
Lobbying and representation before public authorities are delivered directly by Alcohol Ltd within the UK and only in relation to UK public bodies. We do not undertake or arrange lobbying of foreign governments, legislatures, regulators or international public bodies, directly, remotely or through intermediaries.
International work covers research, commercial analysis, media, publishing and private-sector trade event support. It excludes campaigns to influence non-UK public decisions, representation to non-UK public authorities and arranging others to provide those services.
Commissioned or promotional content identifies the commissioning relationship and advertising status where applicable. Evidence, rights, subscriber permissions and measurement methods are agreed for the intended use. Search work follows relevant platform policies; rankings, traffic and AI citations are not guaranteed.
Client approval concerns commissioned deliverables and factual checks. Editors retain responsibility for independent publication, corrections and removal decisions. A commercial commission does not buy favourable independent coverage, the suppression of legitimate reporting, editorial endorsement or control over our policy positions. Confidential journalistic sources are not made available through commercial client approval.
Our regulated editorial material follows the Editors' Code of Practice, including accuracy, distinguishing fact from opinion and conjecture, privacy and timely corrections with due prominence. IPSO regulates editorial material within its remit; it does not approve our consultancy, research, PR or lobbying services. Advertising is clearly identified where applicable.
Appointments require an agreed written brief and checks on the client, conflicts, sanctions and any applicable registration, disclosure, data-use and permission requirements before work begins. Scope, fees and responsibilities are agreed separately, subject to our service and jurisdictional terms.
