Alcohol Trade Newsletters & Business Briefings

Create sourced alcohol industry newsletters and recurring business briefings for trade audiences and client publications.

The commission

What the work covers

Develop a repeatable format, editorial calendar and sourced content for alcohol industry newsletters or business briefings. Establish a clear distinction between published facts, analysis and client messages, with approval and distribution responsibilities agreed.

How we approach the work

  1. Define the readership, frequency and topics in scope.
  2. Develop the format and review relevant attributed sources.
  3. Prepare editions and complete agreed factual and client approvals.

Scope and boundaries

Distribution, if included, requires agreed responsibilities for subscriber status, lawful processing, applicable PECR permissions or exceptions, sender identification, unsubscribe handling and tracking. Creating a newsletter does not itself authorise sending it to any contact list. Advertising and advertisement features require a prominent advertising label where applicable; identifying a commissioner or sponsor alone does not replace that label.

Scope and independence

Lobbying and representation before public authorities are delivered directly by Alcohol Ltd within the UK and only in relation to UK public bodies. We do not undertake or arrange lobbying of foreign governments, legislatures, regulators or international public bodies, directly, remotely or through intermediaries.

International work covers research, commercial analysis, media, publishing and private-sector trade event support. It excludes campaigns to influence non-UK public decisions, representation to non-UK public authorities and arranging others to provide those services.

Commissioned or promotional content identifies the commissioning relationship and advertising status where applicable. Evidence, rights, subscriber permissions and measurement methods are agreed for the intended use. Search work follows relevant platform policies; rankings, traffic and AI citations are not guaranteed.

Client approval concerns commissioned deliverables and factual checks. Editors retain responsibility for independent publication, corrections and removal decisions. A commercial commission does not buy favourable independent coverage, the suppression of legitimate reporting, editorial endorsement or control over our policy positions. Confidential journalistic sources are not made available through commercial client approval.

Our regulated editorial material follows the Editors' Code of Practice, including accuracy, distinguishing fact from opinion and conjecture, privacy and timely corrections with due prominence. IPSO regulates editorial material within its remit; it does not approve our consultancy, research, PR or lobbying services. Advertising is clearly identified where applicable.

Appointments require an agreed written brief and checks on the client, conflicts, sanctions and any applicable registration, disclosure, data-use and permission requirements before work begins. Scope, fees and responsibilities are agreed separately, subject to our service and jurisdictional terms.
