Brand Provenance & Cultural Heritage Content for Alcohol Brands

Create sourced content about alcohol brands, places and drinks traditions for UK and selected international trade audiences.

The commission

What the work covers

Help alcohol producers explain their origins, people, places and production traditions through articles, brand histories, trade presentations or publication materials. Develop content for the UK and selected international markets, with audiences, formats and local requirements agreed in the brief.

Review documented records, credible published sources and authorised contributions. Preserve the context of cultural practices, distinguish established history from brand narrative and agree appropriate contributor review, image rights and attribution. Cultural exchange is approached respectfully, recognising the value of learning and commercial relationships in both directions.

Coordinate the agreed drafting and review stages so that claims about origin, heritage and production can be supported. Identify commissioning and promotional relationships clearly, with specialist review arranged where product descriptions or market-specific claims require it.

How we approach the work

  1. Agree the brands, places, audiences, markets and intended uses, including contributor and specialist review responsibilities.
  2. Review evidence and authorised contributions, confirm asset rights and develop a respectful, source-supported narrative.
  3. Complete agreed contributor and client reviews, resolve factual queries and hand over approved content with its permissions and disclosure notes.

Scope and boundaries

Supplied text, images and other materials require an appropriate licence, permission or applicable lawful exception. Contributor participation does not imply endorsement by a wider community or public body. Promotional content identifies its commissioning and advertising status where applicable and excludes health and social-success claims. UK lobbying requires a separate written mandate, direct delivery in the UK and applicable registration and disclosure checks. This service excludes diplomatic representation, overseas lobbying, non-UK public-authority representation and campaigns to influence foreign public decisions. A commission does not secure independent editorial coverage or control our own policy positions. Advertising and advertisement features require a prominent advertising label where applicable; identifying a commissioner or sponsor alone does not replace that label.

Scope and independence

Lobbying and representation before public authorities are delivered directly by Alcohol Ltd within the UK and only in relation to UK public bodies. We do not undertake or arrange lobbying of foreign governments, legislatures, regulators or international public bodies, directly, remotely or through intermediaries.

International work covers research, commercial analysis, media, publishing and private-sector trade event support. It excludes campaigns to influence non-UK public decisions, representation to non-UK public authorities and arranging others to provide those services.

Commissioned or promotional content identifies the commissioning relationship and advertising status where applicable. Evidence, rights, subscriber permissions and measurement methods are agreed for the intended use. Search work follows relevant platform policies; rankings, traffic and AI citations are not guaranteed.

Client approval concerns commissioned deliverables and factual checks. Editors retain responsibility for independent publication, corrections and removal decisions. A commercial commission does not buy favourable independent coverage, the suppression of legitimate reporting, editorial endorsement or control over our policy positions. Confidential journalistic sources are not made available through commercial client approval.

Our regulated editorial material follows the Editors' Code of Practice, including accuracy, distinguishing fact from opinion and conjecture, privacy and timely corrections with due prominence. IPSO regulates editorial material within its remit; it does not approve our consultancy, research, PR or lobbying services. Advertising is clearly identified where applicable.

Appointments require an agreed written brief and checks on the client, conflicts, sanctions and any applicable registration, disclosure, data-use and permission requirements before work begins. Scope, fees and responsibilities are agreed separately, subject to our service and jurisdictional terms.
